Common Dwarf Mongoose

<em>Helogale parvula</em>, the common dwarf mongoose, is the smallest mongoose species in Africa and belongs to the family Herpestidae. Classified as Least Concern by the IUCN, the species maintains stable populations across diverse terrestrial and aquatic habitats throughout sub-Saharan Africa, though specific geographic range data for this entry are limited. <em>Helogale parvula</em> is a highly social carnivore that typically lives in cooperative family groups of up to thirty individuals, led by a dominant breeding pair.
