アスペロコッカス・エンシフォルミス(Asperococcus ensiformis)は北大西洋・地中海沿岸の岩礁基質に付着する管状〜扁平な茶藻類で、細長い袋状〜剣形の葉状体を形成する。潮間帯から浅い潮下帯の波浪暴露域の岩石・大型藻類に着生する光合成植物である。コンブ目に近縁な褐藻類として、沿岸生態系の一次生産者として機能している。
