オオホンセイインコ

紀元前326年にアレクサンドロス大王がマケドニアに持ち帰ったことからその名が付いたコウロコインコは、記録に残る最大かつ最古のペットオウムの一つである。アフガニスタン・パキスタンから東南アジアにかけての森林、林地、マングローブに生息し、雄は独特なピンクと黒の首輪模様を持つ。ペット目的の大量捕獲と生息地の破壊により個体数は減少しており、準絶滅危惧（NT）に指定されている。ヨーロッパ各地に野生化した個体群が存在する。
