アカムネインコ(Psittacula alexandri)は、バラ色の赤い胸と頬のパッチが緑と灰色の羽毛と対比する中型のインコで、ネパールやインドからベトナム、インドネシアにかけての南・東南アジア全域に分布する。森林、マングローブ、農耕地に生息し、実を結ぶ木や穀物畑に大きな群れを形成することが多い。Psittaculaインコの中で最も分断された分布域の一つを持ち、アジアとヨーロッパで広く飼育されている。
