Habitat

Found across multiple habitat types including tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forests, tropical and subtropical grasslands and savannas, and flooded grasslands and savannas, among 5 distinct biome types within the Afrotropic biogeographic realm. Populations are also found in montane and highland environments at higher elevations.

Pannaria rubiginosaはPannariaceae科に属する葉状地衣類で、かつて温帯湿潤林の樹皮や苔のある岩石上に生育していました。IUCNレッドリストで絶滅(EX)と評価されており、生息地喪失と大気汚染により既知の全産地から消滅しました。
