African elephant

Buellia aethalea はCaliciaceae科の痂状地衣類で、軽度懸念（LC）と評価されています。露出した環境の珪質岩石表面に生育し、灰色から暗色の葉状体とレシジン型子嚢盤を形成します。適切な岩基質の上で温帯・亜寒帯地域に広く分布しています。
