Green Sea Turtle
The green sea turtle is one of the largest sea turtles. They are named for the green color of their cartilage and fat, not their shells.
Komvophoron minutum is a tiny, filamentous cyanobacterium forming short, straight or slightly curved trichomes in various aquatic habitats including streams, lakes, and moist terrestrial environments. Its minute size makes it inconspicuous, but it contributes to microbial mat communities and biofilm formation on submerged substrates.
