Perruche ondulée

The most popular pet bird in the world, budgerigars are small parakeets native to the open grasslands and scrubland of inland Australia, where they congregate in enormous nomadic flocks following rainfall and seed availability. Wild budgerigars are predominantly green and yellow, but selective breeding has produced hundreds of color mutations in captivity. Highly social and easily bred, they have been kept as companion birds since the 1840s. Their vocalizations include excellent mimicry in hand-raised birds.
