Like other drongos, it is an active and aggressive insectivore that typically perches prominently on exposed branches before sallying out to catch flying insects, a foraging behavior known as aerial hawking. The Comoro drongo is largely glossy black with a slightly forked tail, resembling other drongo species in the region.
