Roseomonas gilardii es un cocobacilo gramnegativo pigmentado de rosa de la familia Acetobacteraceae, aislado principalmente de muestras clinicas y ambientales, incluidos suelo y agua. Ocasionalmente se asocia con infecciones oportunistas en pacientes inmunocomprometidos. Su distintiva pigmentacion rosada es producida por compuestos de carotenoides y sirve como caracteristica de identificacion util.
