Sphingopyxis chilensis es una bacteria gramnegativa y aerobia de la familia Sphingomonadaceae, aislada originalmente de muestras ambientales en Chile. Al igual que otros miembros del genero, se caracteriza por poseer membranas celulares que contienen esfingolipidos. Su estado de conservacion no ha sido evaluado.
