Psathyrella pennata es un pequeno hongo agariceo fragil de la familia Psathyrellaceae, evaluado como En Peligro (EN). Crece sobre suelos chamuscados o madera carbonizada en habitats post-incendio, por lo que depende de eventos de perturbacion por fuego natural o gestionado. Su estado de especie en peligro refleja la escasez de sustratos perturbados por el fuego en paisajes gestionados.
