Peronospora debaryi es un oomiceto patogeno del mildiu velloso que infecta plantas de la familia de la zanahoria (Apiaceae), causando amarillamiento y deformacion de hojas infectadas con un crecimiento velloso grisaceo en las superficies inferiores. Este biotrof obligado completa su ciclo de vida dentro del tejido vivo de la planta hospedadora. Se encuentra en regiones templadas donde crecen plantas hospedadoras susceptibles en condiciones humedas.
