Usnea cornuta es un liquen fruticuloso de la familia Parmeliaceae, evaluado como Casi Amenazado (NT). Forma talos arbustivos y ramificados que cuelgan de ramas y ramitas de árboles, típicamente en entornos forestales húmedos. Como todas las especies de Usnea, es muy sensible a la contaminación del aire, particularmente al dióxido de azufre, lo que la convierte en un bioindicador útil de la calidad del aire.
