Found across multiple habitat types including tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forests, tropical and subtropical dry broadleaf forests, and tropical and subtropical grasslands and savannas, among 6 distinct biome types spanning the Neotropic and Oceanian realms. Populations are also found in montane and highland environments at higher elevations.
Distributed across Colombia and Ecuador. Currently classified as Endangered on the IUCN Red List, this species faces significant conservation challenges across its range.
Novosphingobium arabidopsis es un bacilo aerobio gramnegativo aislado por primera vez de las raices de la planta modelo Arabidopsis thaliana. Habita la endosfera radicular y la rizosfera de pequenas plantas con flores en regiones templadas. Este quimioheterotrofo puede establecer asociaciones beneficas con sus plantas huespedes y degradar compuestos organicos derivados de las raices.
Tigre

Es un depredador solitario de emboscada con su caracteristico pelaje naranja y negro a rayas que proporciona camuflaje entre la luz filtrada. Esta en Peligro Critico, con menos de 4.000 individuos que quedan en estado silvestre debido a la caza furtiva y la deforestacion.
