El colibrioreja violacea centelleante (Colibri coruscans) es un colibri grande y brillante de los Andes y los tepuyes venezolanos, con plumaje verde-azul iridiscente y una mancha auricular violeta-azul que centellea intensamente bajo la luz solar. Se distribuye entre los 1.200 y 3.000 metros de altitud en Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador y Peru, en bosques montanos y matorrales. Es uno de los colibries andinos mas comunes y un agresivo defensor territorial de los parches de flores.
