Habitat & Geographic Range
Komodo Dragon
Found across multiple habitat types including tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forests, tropical and subtropical dry broadleaf forests, and tropical and subtropical grasslands and savannas, among 4 distinct biome types spanning the Australasia and Indomalayan realms. Populations are also found in montane and highland environments at higher elevations.
Found in Indonesia. Currently classified as Endangered on the IUCN Red List, this species faces significant conservation challenges across its range.
Typically found in forest floors, decomposing wood, and soil ecosystems.
Distributed across Belgium, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.

Sistotrema diademiferum es un hongo basidiomiceto resupinado que forma parches blanquecinos a color crema sobre madera muerta y corteza de arboles de hoja ancha y coniferas en bosques templados. Es un descomponedor de madera que contribuye al ciclo de nutrientes mediante actividad saprotrofica sobre ramas caidas y troncos. Esta especie se encuentra en Europa y America del Norte en habitats boscosos.
