La tortuga verde (Chelonia mydas) es una de las tortugas marinas más grandes. Su nombre proviene del color verde de su cartílago y grasa, no del caparazón.
Trapeliopsis pseudogranulosa es un liquen crustaceo con un talo granular de color gris verdoso palido que forma parches sobre suelos acidos y turberas en habitats abiertos. Habita brezales, suelos acidos perturbados y terrenos arenosos desnudos en ambientes europeos templados y boreales.
