Green Sea Turtle
La tortuga verde (Chelonia mydas) es una de las tortugas marinas más grandes. Su nombre proviene del color verde de su cartílago y grasa, no del caparazón.
Plicaria carbonaria es una copa fungica pirofilica de la familia Pyronemataceae, que fructifica caracteristicamente sobre suelos afectados por el fuego y suelos ricos en carbon vegetal poco despues de eventos de incendio. Sus aposemas oscuros e irregularmente contorsionados quedan bien camuflados sobre el sustrato quemado. Se evalua como de Preocupacion Menor y se encuentra en todo el hemisferio norte donde ocurren incendios forestales.
