Found across multiple habitat types including tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forests, tropical and subtropical grasslands and savannas, and flooded grasslands and savannas, among 4 distinct biome types within the Afrotropic biogeographic realm. Populations are also found in montane and highland environments at higher elevations.

Range

Distributed across Cameroon, Congo (Republic), Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon. Currently classified as Critically Endangered on the IUCN Red List, this species faces significant conservation challenges across its range.

Ave marina de tamano mediano del Atlantico Norte y el Pacifico Norte, la pardela pichoneta (Puffinus puffinus) es renombrada por sus extraordinarias capacidades de navegacion. Recorre hasta 1 millon de kilometros a lo largo de su vida, migrando anualmente entre colonias reproductoras en islas del Atlantico Norte y zonas de invernada frente a Sudamerica. Su vuelo rigido de alas cortando el aire justo sobre las olas es caracteristico. Un individuo vivio mas de 55 anos, uno de los registros de mayor longevidad en aves silvestres.
