Sarcodon leucopus es un hongo de dientes que produce un sombrero carnoso y marronaceo recubierto de espinas palidas (dientes) en su parte inferior en lugar de laminas o poros. Forma asociaciones ectomicorricicas con coniferas y arboles de hoja ancha en los bosques templados y boreales europeos.
