Euglena splendens es un euglenido unicelular fotosintético caracterizado por su cuerpo alargado y su brillante coloración verde procedente de los cloroplastos. Habita entornos de agua dulce estancada, incluyendo estanques, zanjas y aguas enriquecidas en nutrientes de regiones templadas y tropicales. Este organismo mixotrófico realiza fotosíntesis en condiciones de luz y puede absorber nutrientes orgánicos disueltos en la oscuridad.
Tigre
El felino mas grande del mundo, el tigre puede superar los 300 kg y habita bosques desde el Extremo Oriente ruso hasta el Sudeste Asiatico. Es un depredador solitario de emboscada con su caracteristico pelaje naranja y negro a rayas que proporciona camuflaje entre la luz filtrada. Esta en Peligro Critico, con menos de 4.000 individuos que quedan en estado silvestre debido a la caza furtiva y la deforestacion.
