Entoloma elodes es un pequeño hongo de espora rosada con un sombrero higrofanoso que se descolora al secarse y un olor característico. Crece en praderas húmedas, pastizales pantanosos y márgenes boscosas húmedas en Europa templada. Este hongo ecológicamente sensible habita en hábitats de pastizales de influencia húmeda pobres en nutrientes y sin mejorar.
