Inocybe mixtilis es un pequeño hongo de sombrero fibroso del amplio género Inocybe, con un sombrero cónico a umbonado y un olor harinoso. Forma asociaciones ectomicorrícicas con árboles caducifolios, especialmente roble y haya, en bosques europeos templados. Este hongo intercambia nutrientes del suelo por azúcares producidos fotosintéticamente con sus árboles huésped.
