Disciseda candida es un pequeño gastromiceto similar a un bejín con cuerpo fructífero esférico aplanado de color blanco a crema que se desprende de su base subterránea al madurar. Habita suelos calcáreos y arenosos secos en ambientes estépicos y de pastizales secos en Europa central y oriental. Este hongo saprótrofo descompone materia orgánica en suelos de pastizales áridos y dispersa esporas cuando su peridio papiráceo se fragmenta.
