Semillero Negriblanco
Un pequeño semillero de llamativo plumaje bicolor, con machos de partes superiores y alas negras como el azabache en contraste con partes inferiores blancas. El semillero blanquinegro habita hábitats abiertos y semiabiertos, como pastizales, bordes de bosque y plantaciones sombreadas en los Andes, desde Colombia hasta Bolivia. Es uno de los Sporophila con plumaje más distintivo. Las hembras son de color marrón y ante liso. Se alimentan de semillas de gramíneas y en ocasiones son mantenidos como aves de jaula por el atractivo del plumaje y el canto de los machos.
