Caballito celeste

Un caballito del diablo de tamaño mediano de hábitats de agua dulce estancada y de flujo lento en Europa y Asia occidental; los caballitos de pata emplumada reciben su nombre de la llamativa franja plumosa en la tibia de las patas traseras de los machos, que agitan durante los despliegues de cortejo. Los machos muestran coloración azul pálida mientras que las hembras son verde oliva. Se posan sobre vegetación emergente y son una buena especie indicadora de la calidad del agua en hábitats ribereños.
