Clastidium setigerum es una cianobacteria filamentosa de la familia Clastidiaceae, caracterizada por producir filamentos que se estrechan anclados a sustratos por una célula de fijación basal. Crece sobre algas más gruesas, invertebrados y sustratos rocosos en ambientes dulceacuícolas o marinos. Su único tricoma en forma de pelo que termina en un pelo largo e incoloro es una característica morfológica distintiva de este género.
