Inhabits montane grasslands and shrublands and Mediterranean forests and woodlands within the Palearctic biogeographic realm.
Widely distributed across Africa (12 countries), Asia (7 countries), Europe (30 countries), North America (Canada, United States), Oceania and the Pacific (Australia, Marshall Islands), and South America (4 countries).
Tigre

El girasol es una de las plantas con flores más cultivadas del mundo y un cultivo oleaginoso de importancia económica crítica, nativo de América del Norte y capaz de alcanzar 3 metros de altura con cabezuelas de hasta 30 cm de diámetro. Su característica conducta de seguir al sol —heliotrópismo solar en plantas jóvenes— le dio su nombre. Una sola cabezuela de girasol está compuesta por hasta 2.000 flósculos individuales. La producción mundial supera los 50 millones de toneladas anuales, valorada por su aceite, semillas y alimento para aves.
Tigre
El felino mas grande del mundo, el tigre puede superar los 300 kg y habita bosques desde el Extremo Oriente ruso hasta el Sudeste Asiatico. Es un depredador solitario de emboscada con su caracteristico pelaje naranja y negro a rayas que proporciona camuflaje entre la luz filtrada. Esta en Peligro Critico, con menos de 4.000 individuos que quedan en estado silvestre debido a la caza furtiva y la deforestacion.
