Ganzblatt-Andryala

<em>Andryala integrifolia</em>, commonly known as Common Andryala, is a flowering plant in the family Asteraceae native to southwestern Europe and the Mediterranean region. This species is found across countries including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Portugal, and Sweden, typically occurring in open, dry habitats such as roadsides, disturbed ground, sandy soils, and rocky slopes. Common Andryala produces yellow, dandelion-like flower heads characteristic of the daisy family and bears grayish-green, hairy leaves that help reduce water loss in its often sun-exposed habitats. It is an annual or biennial herb that relies on wind dispersal of its achene fruits to colonize new areas. The plant tends to thrive in nutrient-poor, well-drained soils where competition from other vegetation is limited. Its conservation status has not been formally evaluated by the IUCN.
