Cerothallia luteoalba is a rare, foliose to crustose lichen growing on bark in humid, old-growth woodland habitats, producing a pale yellowish-white to cream thallus. It is found in scattered locations across European oceanic and temperate forests and is considered a strong indicator of ancient woodland. Critically Endangered, this species is highly sensitive to woodland loss and changes in air quality.
