Nitzschia suchlandti is a pennate diatom in the family Bacillariaceae inhabiting freshwater environments, characterized by its narrow, elongate frustule with a sigmoid or sinuous raphe canal. Like other members of the large genus Nitzschia, it contributes to benthic and planktonic algal communities and serves as a bioindicator of water chemistry and organic pollution status.
