Chroomonas dispersa is a species of cryptophyte alga in the family Chroomonadaceae, found in freshwater and brackish aquatic environments. Cryptophytes in the genus Chroomonas are small, motile, unicellular flagellates widely distributed across freshwater, brackish, and marine environments globally.
