Sphingomonas dokdonensis is a gram-negative, aerobic bacterium in the family Sphingomonadaceae, originally isolated from Dokdo (Liancourt Rocks) in the East Sea. Like other Sphingomonas species, it is characterised by sphingolipids in its cell membrane and is found in marine and coastal habitats. Its conservation status is not evaluated.
