Grass-green Tanager

One of the most vividly colored tanagers, grass-green tanagers display intense, saturated lime-green plumage with a chestnut crown — one of the few tanagers where green is the dominant striking color rather than blue, purple, or multicolor. Found in humid Andean cloud forest edges from Ecuador to Bolivia at elevations of 2,000–3,500 meters. They inhabit forest edge, secondary woodland, and dense shrubbery, foraging in small groups on fruit and insects. Listed as Least Concern with stable populations.
