Stenotrophomonas humi is a gram-negative, aerobic bacterium in the family Xanthomonadaceae, originally isolated from soil (humus). Like other members of its genus, it is metabolically versatile and adapted to a variety of terrestrial environments. Its conservation status is not evaluated.

Stenotrophomonas indicatrix is a Gram-negative, rod-shaped bacterium related to the important environmental and opportunistic pathogen Stenotrophomonas maltophilia. It has been isolated from diverse soil and plant-associated environments. This aerobic chemoheterotroph degrades a wide range of organic compounds in terrestrial habitats.
