Stenotrophomonas lactitubi is a Gram-negative rod isolated from dairy processing environments, as its species name suggests. It inhabits food processing facilities and dairy-associated substrates. This aerobic chemoheterotroph degrades organic compounds and may colonize food production surfaces and piping.
