Pseudoxanthomonas kaohsiungensis is a Gram-negative, yellow-pigmented bacterium first described from Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It inhabits subtropical soil environments and is characterized by the production of carotenoid pigments typical of its genus. This aerobic bacterium decomposes organic compounds in warm terrestrial soils.
