Burkholderia ubonensis é uma bactéria Gram-negativa habitante do solo, isolada pela primeira vez de arrozais na província de Ubon Ratchathani, na Tailândia. Habita solos tropicais de arrozais e ambientes agrícolas do Sudeste Asiático. Este quimio-heterótrofo aeróbio decompõe matéria orgânica em solos inundados de cultivo de arroz.
