Tulostoma fimbriatum es un hongo pedo pedunculado con un pequeño saco esporífero redondo elevado sobre un tallo esbelto, que crece en suelos secos, arenosos o calcáreos en hábitats abiertos como dunas, pastizales cortos y estepas en Europa y más allá. Libera esporas a través de una boca apical (peristoma).
