Macbrideola cornea es un pequeño mixomiceto del orden Liceales que forma diminutos esporangios pediculados sobre material vegetal en descomposición y corteza. Sus esporangios son de color marfil a pálido con un peridio firme. Al igual que otros mohos mucilaginosos, desempeña un papel en el ciclo de nutrientes del bosque al consumir bacterias y esporas fúngicas.
