Lyophyllum aemiliae es un raro hongo que crece en racimos densos con sombreretes de color pálido a marrón grisáceo y láminas apiñadas. Habita suelos ricos en nutrientes en bosques templados europeos y bordes de zonas arboladas. Este hongo saprótrofo a débilmente parásito descompone la materia orgánica del suelo y se considera extremadamente raro en las evaluaciones micológicas europeas.
